  • The extra cost of private tutors – Though online classes are an excellent medium for gaining immense knowledge with lots of teacher – student collaboration and even better attention, some parents were not satisfied with this new method of learning. They assumed that the children were not bonding well with the teachers and that is why they couldn’t cope better. This led many parents to opt for private tutors who came in offline and taught the same thing to the students, but in a physical environment. Well, it goes without saying that such tuition costs a good amount. This affected a lot of parents financially.
  • Getting the gadgets for the online study – When the pandemic commenced and the online classes took Kick started, not all parents had a separate gadget for the kids. But since the kids were expected to spend hours on these gadgets attending the classes, getting them an individual gadget was imperative. Again, these gadgets, whether they were laptops, computers or mobile phones, don’t come cheap. This is what drained the parents further financially.
  • The additional cost of network – The online classes required a good data coverage or wifi network. The parents were additionally taxed to get these active connections in the house constantly for hours. You can imagine how this added to their financial strain.
  • Some educational apps required subscription charges – Many schools asked the parents to join the online classes through the educational applications that were chargeable. Also for the students who were self studying, there were certain online classes and learning applications that also required a heavy subscription amount. This also led to a financial issue for the parents. But little they knew that they could have avoided this heavy charge by opting for a free learning app like Extramarks learning app. Such applications provided unlimited access to various features for students for studying better and also provided more or less a classroom ambience even while studying online. Such a free learning app can be a boon to the parents who are constantly worried about the increasing financial strain due to the online medium of learning.

Apart from all these, some parents contrarily benefited financially with the online education system. They did save a lot of money which went for the conveyance of the students, the items like bag, tiffin box and so on that were otherwise required for the physical schools and many more such petty expenses were saved. While there were some parents who only reserved the kid’s studying process through a free learning app which again benefitted them financially. Overall, we can say that the online medium affected both negatively and positively to the parents. But yes, they are learning to explore the ways through which they can save this financial loss even by indulging in the online medium of education.
