I was wondering what was going on when people’s Facebook pictures began to look like they came out of a 1950’s yearbook and after some time I finally figured it out. It’s because they ARE right out of a 1950’s yearbook. It seems that Yearbooking yourself is the latest trend on Facebook. On Yearbookyourself.com you simply upload a picture of yourself and then choose the year you’d like the picture to look like it’s from. It starts at year 1950 and goes to 2000 and it goes by 2’s. So you can choose 1950, 1952, 1954, and so on. With each year you click on the picture will change right before your eyes and it gives you facts about the styles and fashion trends of that year. You can download any of the images you want and save them to your computer or email them to people right off the website.
If you haven’t jumped on the Yearbook Yourself bandwagon yet DO IT NOW. It’s the most fun I had on a website in a long time. I literally laughed out loud when I uploaded my picture and played around with the different hairstyles and fashion trends of past times. I’m a little torn though. Did I look better in 1960 (top picture) or in 1994 (bottom picture)?
