Now I don’t mean to jump right from Thanksgiving to Christmas, but since we’re clearly in the thick of the holiday season, I figured I’d make the leap. I just have to admit the month of December is my absolute favorite time of the year and I’m sure the favorite of many others as well.
I could name a huge list of reasons as to why I love the Holiday Season, but one of the best is the music. So below I’ve listed a few of the great Christmas songs to put you in the holiday spirit.
The actual list of the top traditional 10 Christmas Songs is as follows:
- “White Christmas” - Bing Crosby
- “The Chipmunk Song” - The Chipmunks
- “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer” - Gene Autry
- “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” - Jimmy Boyd
- “Jingle Bell Rock” - Bobby Helms
- “The Christmas Song” - Nat King Cole
- “Snoopy’s Christmas” - The Royal Guardsmen
- “Here Comes Santa Claus” - Gene Autry
- “Little Drummer Boy” - Harry Simeone Chorale
- “Donde Esta Santa Claus” - Augie Rios
In my opinion, some of these songs are highly outdated. I consider myself to know a good amount of Christmas songs, but I’m not familiar with “Donde Esta Santa Claus”? So, I’ve added a few more to this list. Most of the songs below are more recent, and extremely popular. I recommend listening to all of them this Holiday season!
Additions:
1. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” - Mariah Carey
2. “Believe” - Josh Groban
3. “The Christmas Shoes” - Newsong
4. “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” - written by Dr. Seuss; performed by Thurl Ravenscroft
5. “Where Are You Christmas?” - Faith Hill
6. “The Gift” - Jim Brickman
7. “Sing Noel” - Newsong
8. “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” - *NSYNC
9. “Wonderful Christmastime” - Paul McCartney
10. “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” - James Taylor and Natalie Cole
Now these are a wide variety of Christmas songs I hope you find at least one of the additions just as enjoyable as the classics. If you have any other Christmas songs to share please let us know!
