I love finding new drinks and sharing them with my friends. It’s gotten to the point where I now have a recipe book filled with drinks that I liked enough to make again. But it seems like during Halloween you can get more creative then thought, when it comes to entertaining and creating new and innovative drinks. One of my favorites is the Smoretini, which I love making year round. But there’s something about graham crackers and chocolate that screams fall to me! Enjoy!
32 ounces vodka
16 ounces chocolate liqueur
1 64-ounce pitcher
1 sleeve of graham crackers or more if needed
1 jar marshmallow creme (Marshmallow Fluff)
16 martini glasses (disposable versions available at party stores)
1 bag wooden skewers
1 bag miniature marshmallows
Pour vodka and chocolate liqueur into pitcher and stir. Refrigerate for at least several hours until the mixture is very cold. Crush a graham cracker in a plastic bag, then pour the crumbs into a small bowl. When no one’s looking, dip a finger into the jar of marshmallow creme, then run it around the rims of your martini glasses to lightly coat. Next, dip each glass into the bowl of graham cracker crumbs and shake the bowl gently to cover the marshmallow creme with crumbs. (You can do this the night before the party and stick the prepared glasses in the freezer if you like.) If you have a grill going (or even better, a firepit or chimenea), offer each guest a wooden skewer and three mini marshmallows to toast over the flame (put the grill on high for the best browning). Note: Although the skewer package may advise soaking the skewers in water for at least 20 minutes, it’s not necessary for this use. Pour about 3 ounces of the drink mixture into each of the prepared glasses and serve, letting each guest slide their roasted marshmallows into their drink for garnish.
1 part coconut cream
1 part tangerine flavored mixer (suggested, Stirrings Tangerini)
1 part banana liqueur
Splash of white rum
Chill ingredients in fridge or freezer. Once cooled, pour the first three ingredients, in the order listed above, slowly over the back side of a spoon into a martini glass. Top with a splash of white rum.
1 1/2 oz. 42 BELOW Vodka
3 oz. Dark Grape Juice
1 teaspoon of raw sugar
4 slices of fresh ginger
4 blackberries
2 blackberries to garnish
In a mixing glass, muddle together blackberries, ginger, and sugar, then add 42 BELOW Vodka and dark grape juice.
Fill with ice, shake well, and strain into a chilled Martini glass.
Garnish with 2 blackberries.
Pumpkintini
1/2 oz Sylk Cream Liqueur
2 oz vanilla vodka
1/2 oz pumpkin liqueur or pumpkin spice syrup
1 tsp whipped cream
cinnamon stick for garnish
Pour the Sylk Liqueur and vodka into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Add the pumpkin liqueur or syrup and shake again.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with a teaspoon of whipped cream.
1 1/2 ounces vodka
3/4 ounces blue cointreau
3/4 ounces orange juice
Orange slice, or orange rind—optional garnish
Mix in a shaker with ice. Mix well. Strain and serve straight up in chilled martini glass

St. Patty’s Day is obvious. College kids will take any reason to drink… any.
Halloween, I think, is a little similar. They use Halloween as an excuse to drink, but, they also get to wear fun costumes. That is why I love Halloween. It’s a chance to dress up, as an adult, and have fun!
