Fall may be the most beautiful time of the year. The leaves have begun to change colors and the temperature typically drops into the mid 50s (with those 75 degree days every now and then - random, i know!). The best part about being a college student during this time is that you can still enjoy the outdoors before the snow hits in a few months!
Typically this is when most college campuses look absolutely beautiful. After reviewing many schools, I decided on what I believe may be the most beautiful colleges in the fall season. Don’t get me wrong, there are hundreds of amazing schools out there - though for this Fall season these schools below are most definitely the winners of this category.
Top 10 Most Beautiful Fall Campuses:
Located in central New Jersey, this Ivy League school is quite the school to attend during the Fall Season. Trees line the pathways and streets of Princeton and when these trees begin to change colors - Princeton is quite the beautiful place to be.

2. College of William and Mary
This college, located in the historical Williamsburg, Virginia has a quaint atmosphere perfect for the Fall season. This college is the second oldest in the nation.

Known for its Gothic architecture, Georgetown had to appear on the list. Located in D.C., it has an absolutely amazing campus.

Located in North Carolina, Wake Forest University is surrounded by fall colors. This campus holds quite the scenic array of fall.

UVA is at the top of many lists in terms of most beautiful college campuses. It must be something about the southern feel and the beautiful buildings. Located in Charlottesville, this picturesque campus and town are one of a kind. Charlottesville holds Fall Fairs and exciting activities for the fall season.

Yale University, another Ivy League school, is located in New Haven, Connecticut - a small, quaint town with beautiful residential neighborhoods surrounding the campus.

This campus is extremely small, yet surrounded by fall foliage. In the center of campus there is a lake which during the fall season is surrounded by pathways outlined with fall colors. One of the less popular beautiful campuses, though absolutely amazing to visit.

8. Middlebury![]()
Located in Vermont, this northern school is well known for its picturesque views during the Fall season. Homecoming and Parent’s Weekend are popular events because of this exquisite fall view. This campus is again, lesser know, yet cannot be thrown to the sidelines when it comes to Fall campuses.

If you ever visit this campus during the fall, a camera is essential to have with you. Located in North Carolina - this university is absolutely beautiful.

As a New York school, this liberal arts University is one to remember. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to go during the Fall - definitely remember this when you are on your search.

Now if you are a student at any of these schools - I envy you! Though if you are close to one of these Fall Favorite Universities - I think a road trip may be in order just to see how magnificent they really are.

Damn. My boyfriend goes to U of Richmond, but he’s in Hong Kong till December. So I won’t get to see it in the fall.
Princeton is gorgeous though. Totally #1 status.

I personally think that Pitt Greensburg has a beautiful campus in the fall. Maybe not top ten material, but, still very pretty.

Miami University on Oxford Ohio definitely belongs on this list. Robert Frost described Miami as, “the most beautiful college there ever was.”
