Some things are too good too be true. But that’s not the case this time! Why didn’t someone tell me about members-only shopping websites sooner? These exclusive websites sell designer merchandise at serious discounts (I’m talking around 50% or more!). Despite the economic downfall, the number of people joining these sites is growing tremendously and not showing any signs of slowing down. I can see why- their prices are awesome and they feature high-end fashion designers like Free People, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and True Religion (just to mention a few)! Such members-only websites include Gilt.com, Ideeli.com, HauteLook.com and RueLaLa.com.
How do you become a member, you ask? These sites either require an invitation to join from someone who already is a member or you could sign yourself up (yes, for free). Gilt.com, Ideeli.com, and Ruelala.com are the uber-exclusive sites that require an invitation but you can sign up for Hautelook.com sans invite. Once you’re a member of these sites you’ll have access to exclusive sales events, luxurious giveaways, and sneak peaks at future fashion lines (Gilt.com right now is featuring a sneak peak at Vera Wang’s Lavender label). But you better be ready to act fast if you have your eye on a certain item because sales events are time sensitive and may only last a few hours. Ideeli typically sells out of their items 3 hours and 36 minutes after an event has started!
I don’t know about you but I’m ready to act fast right now in signing up. If you’re fortunate enough to know a member of one of these sites and can snag an invite, then rock on! You’re lucky. But if you’re like me and don’t know any members of these top secret sites you can sign up at Hautelook, which I am about to do right now! Designer clothing for way cheaper than in stores? Yea, I’m there!
