You know the holiday season is approaching when Starbucks exchanges the standard white cups for their “Christmas snowflake red” cups. As a huge Starbucks AND Christmas lover, this excites me probably more than it should. The signs of the season are everywhere – it’s hard to turn your head and NOT see something related to the holidays. Not only does Starbucks change their cups, but they also comes out with seasonal Holiday Drinks as well.
Now these holiday drinks may not be quite as enticing as the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte (I know I’m one of the biggest fans of the drink), though they nonetheless signify the Holiday season and in my opinion still are worth the money.
So the next time you wander into Starbucks and are tempted to try something new – I recommend trying one of the following (remember they are only on the menu for limited time, so get it while it lasts!):
1. Gingersnap Latte
This seasonal drink has taken the place of the past Gingerbread Latte. From what I have been told, these two drinks are “similar”, although there is a stronger ginger flavor in the Gingersnap Latte.
2. Eggnog Latte
Eggnog is a Holiday classic, so if you’re a fan of the standard Eggnog, I’m sure this latte will be the perfect treat for you. Take a chance and order it the next time you are in Starbucks.
3. Peppermint Mocha
The traditional Candy Cane flavor of the season blended with a mocha flavor. If you are a fan of Peppermint - I recommend this one to you.
4. Thanksgiving Blend
This year Starbucks has come out with a new coffee flavor. If you are up for a change in coffee flavor – definitely take a chance with this Thanksgiving Blend.
5. Christmas Blend
A definite favorite of coffee lovers. Although Starbucks is not brewing this coffee yet, it will most likely be brewing quite soon. And if you do enjoy this coffee flavor, you can even buy Christmas blend to make at home as well. I know that is what I plan on doing this season!
So this season, a fantastic gift idea for any Coffee Lover is a Starbuck’s gift card to try all of these Holiday treats. If you are still partial to the Pumpkin Spice Latte – Starbucks still has this on the menu as well!
