Each week Americans anticipate a new debate - whether it be between Barack Obama and John McCain or Biden and Palin. Though for many, the only reason to be watching the debates is to see what SNL will use in their weekend update. Yeah I know their foreign policies and theories to pull us out of this economic collapse are important. But by this point, Americans are sick of the back and forth and just want something to look forward to, right? And as far as Sarah Palin goes - check out the Top 5 Sarah Palin Videos That’ll Make You Snort Milk to get some serious laughs.
So SNL is apparently doing just that - bringing some entertainment into this intense election. Just last week SNL decided to create a new branch of the show called “SNL Thursday Weekend Update”. So now if the debate is on Tuesday or Wednesday - we as Americans only have to wait one or two days to see what Tina Fey has in store for us. This Thursday night show runs right after “The Office” and will run for three weeks in October.
Whether you watch SNL after watching the actual debates previously or haven’t watched the real debates it is still entertaining. Not only has SNL created this presidential election into a mockery with Sarah Palin, but many other late night shows have done the same.

1. Tina Fey as Sarah Palin - This may be the most popular of the SNL skits though when Tina Fey is on the screen - it’s nothing but hilarious
