Glitz, Glam and gaping fans. Such is the life of a 2008 Hollywood celebrity. Their beauty is only surpassed by their talents. You crave them. Shut up, I know you do. You can’t get enough of Perez Hilton, Dlisted, and TMZ. But while these sites are emotionally damaging, there is an even bigger threat to our precious starlets nowadays: the ever-present Paparazzi. (AKA the “paps”).
These photo hungry savages will do just about anything to snap the perfect shot. One of their biggest schemes currently is surprising the actress/socialite as they step out of their cars in tiny little dresses. Camera ready, now, you don’t want to miss their open-legged climb out.
These celebrity woes not only spark controversy, but court cases as well. Light-hearted fans sympathize with their idol’s plight. Still, others say that they deserve it, using the same tired line: “if you want to be in the spotlight, you deserve it”
Do they? Sure, I laugh at their jokes about Britney’s love of Cheetos and Paris’s need for Valtrex. But if it was me, and a camera was in my face, that shit would be on the ground in pieces, and I wouldn’t be paying for it.
